Our Therapeutic Approach

Psychotherapy is a primary and essential component of the care we provide.

Our approach draws from diverse therapeutic modalities. Our therapists use a variety of somatic therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Hakomi method, and Existential psychotherapies, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques when working with clients. These therapeutic skills help clients develop deeper connections and understanding between the mind and body.

Trauma work is central to our practice. When working with trauma we incorporate mindfulness and emotional grounding skills while re-establishing a sense of trust and connection with one's own body.

Many clients combine individual psychotherapy with ketamine-assisted therapy for enhanced healing, as the two modalities complement each other powerfully in addressing treatment-resistant conditions.

Our therapists include Dr. Sidney Edsall, who integrates somatic psychotherapy with Western and Eastern medicine, Dr. Audrey Redfield, a licensed psychologist trained in Internal Family Systems and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Charlie Bathgate, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in Existential and Narrative Therapy. Their involvement with OpenMind Therapeutics brings cutting-edge psychedelic research insights into clinical practice.
